Second Ferment has now joined Twitter! You'll note the nifty little icon on the right. Come follow me and my sporadic commentary on wine. Somehow I'm supposed to find time to "tweet" on a regular basis ... ha! That's funny. An experiment in the futile, methinks this is. But fun nonetheless.
At the moment, I'm still trying to figure it all out. One thing I've realized is that a hashtag adds your comment to this gigantic virtual game of telephone. One person has a comment to make, the next person picks up that comment, adds their own slant to it, passes it on. Guess you could say the same about "retweets" but I haven't gotten that far into it yet. It's kinda cool; you put in a subject with the hashtag on the front of it, and see what all the buzz is about. Neat-o.
(Patience, folks. I never claimed to be all that brilliant with technology.)
I'm folloing Wine Out Loud, Pull Corks, the Wine Bloggers Conference and several others, as well as Stephen Colbert, just for laughs. Now, if I could just get my Crackberry's social feeds to sync my facebook page, my LinkedIn profile and my Twitter feed into one seamless stream of rambling diatribes, I'd be all set.
