Quaff This: Creekside 2006 Butler's Grant Riesling (Niagara, Ontario)

I came, I drank, and here's what I said about it:
I am not much of a riesling drinker, and those that I do drink must be young enough to not yet be giving off that delightful aroma of open-gas-tank (aka "petrol"). This one was an enjoyable mouthful: bright pale yellow colour; citrus and pear on the nose; sharp acidity and effervescence with flavours of lychee, more pear and apple. Long acidic finish. Can't remember what we had it with, but it was quite good and refreshing.
