So now that I have "free" time on my plate, I can't quite decide what to do with myself.
Of course, there is content to write for the first issue of Brix ... and I've had a few offers to work on wine-related projects for the Web ... all my friends keep sending me messages asking me for advice on what wine to serve with which food ... then there's my reviews over on WineAlign ... need to get cracking on the new blog layout ...
OK, so maybe I've still got enough on my plate.
Add to this an arm's-length list of renovations Hubby and I want to do in the kitchen and bathroom. This will be our first foray into big-time changes to the house since we moved in. That in itself was a challenge - we repainted almost every room in the house ourselves, with varying degrees of success and more frustration than I care to deal with ever again. We've resigned ourselves to the fact that we are not fix-it types, and if there's a professional out there who can do the job, then by gawd, let them do it.
Of course, now that the warmer weather has finally rolled in, the patio beckons and our weekends are filled with sun-dappled outings to parks, carnivals and Dairy Queen. We'll get to the renos ... eventually ...
