Quaff this: deLorimier 2001 Mosaic Meritage (Sonoma, California)

I came, I drank, and this is what I had to say about it:
Deep, opaque purple / burgundy colouring, with a pink, watery rim. Prunes, cassis, rosewater, black cherry on the nose. High acid, medium tannins. Black cherry again, with licorice, alcohol and strawberry flavours. Sweet, juicy berry finish. Had it with a Montreal-spiced striploin, grilled potatoes, and sauteed peppers and onions. (Hooray for indoor grills!)
